_The Cult of the All-Seeing Eye_ is a short book first published in 1964 by Monte Cristo Press by Robert Keith Spenser detailing the alleged role of the Cult of the All-Seeing Eye in the creation of the United Nations Meditation Room and in the development of the Great Seal of the United States. This book is dated; however, it does appear quoted as a source in much subsequent conspiracy literature, particularly in light of what it has to say about the United Nations and the coming global religion.
To begin with, the author contends that the Cult of the All-Seeing Eye has existed under many names and guises for thousands of years. Further, this cult involves the worship of an Unknown God (whose roots go back to the ancient rites of the Egyptians), a god who is entirely different from the true God and the Divine Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Instead, the cult is based on the "hidden master ideal" and in the manner of paganism seeks to overturn Christianity. It has left its marks on the Meditation Room of the United Nations, the Prayer Room of the U. S. Capitol, and the Great Seal of the United States (depicted on the dollar bill). The author then explains the various symbolic elements within the United Nations Meditation Room. These include the altar, the mural, the "room of stillness", the lodestone, and the cornerstone. The author notes that much of this was commissioned by Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold. The author also notes the role of Rockefeller money in furthering the schemes of global religion. The author contends that the mural has a secret linking it with Cubism and the Kabbalah, and that the cornerstone is similar to the black stone found in the Kaaba (of Islam) or the stones worshipped by Druids as representations of their deities. The author then discusses the Kabbalah, the Tetragrammaton, and the role of paganism in opposition to the milites Christes or "enrolled soldiers of Christ". Following this the author discusses the Great Seal of the United States. The author notes the history of the Seal in terms of its creation by the Founders. The author explains the meaning of such phrases as Annuit Coeptis ("He (God) favored our undertakings.") and Novus Ordo Seclorum ("A New Order of the Ages") as they are derived from the ancient poet Virgil. The author explains the reverse seal and shows the mystical symbolism involved in the reverse seal. The author also explains the crest as the Seal of Solomon and the arms and crest in St. Paul's Chapel, New York. The author maintains that the All-Seeing Eye is a symbol of the Egyptian deity Osiris and quotes from George Rawlinson's three-volume history _The Seven Great Monarchies of the Ancient Eastern World_. The author also relates the All-Seeing Eye cult to the sun and the serpent (mentioning ophiolatry, the worship of serpents) and shows how this idea appears in the teachings of the heretical Gnostics. The author also shows how this cult exists in South Viet Nam as the Cao Dai which is a mixture of many religions and seeks to mock Catholicism. The author also quotes from the writings of masonic author and philosopher Manly Palmer Hall (who wrote extensively on the secret destiny of America) as well as mentioning the role of Communist Party front organizations in promoting the cult. Following this, the author turns his attention to the Prayer Room of the United States Capitol, finding even more esoteric symbolism of the cult. The book includes two newspaper pieces by Edith Kermit Roosevelt (grand-daughter of Theodore Roosevelt) on the role of the United Nations in creating a one world global religion. The book also includes a piece by her showing how the United Nations influenced by Rockefeller dollars seeks to promote communism and a universal theocratic state with a new one world global religion. This religion claims to merge all religions; however, secretly it merely serves to promote the age old ideology of the Cult of the All-Seeing Eye.
While dated, this brief book is repeatedly mentioned in the conspiracy literature as an important source of information on this ancient cult. The cult has sought to control mankind through global government, but only recently has it been so brazenly open about its stated aims. The cult is ancient, tracing itself back at least as far as ancient Egypt and possibly to the Garden itself, and poses a threat to all Christian individuals who refuse to conform to the dictates of global government and the New World Order.
