This is an enchanting little book of poems. It is his first book of poems, I understand, but there is a wisdom, an intelligence in these poems that make me think he has been writing poetry for a long time. There is a bit of whimsy as well as he tells some stories about the enchanted island of Ikaria--and weaves in some of his experiences as the island's surgeon. Yes--poet Tripoulas is a surgeon on the island--now recognized as one of the plant's "Blue Zones" --places where the average citizens live for a very long time. Love this book.Product details
