Dragonborn Jade Lee Books

I really liked this fresh take on fantasy fiction. I was sucked in to the tale spun and never new what was going to happen next. Lots of plot twists and mystery about the dragons and their role in the story. There were some editing issues that need taken care of, but the great plot helped me overlook them. Be aware, there is a fair amount of sexual content in the book. Over all, I really enjoyed it.

Dragonborn Jade Lee Books Reviews

So Kiril is a dragon killer and Natiya is hatching a dragon. While this provided a lot of tension throughout the story, his reason for killing dragons didn't make sense. His hatred of dragons certainly allowed plot twists. I couldn't see how the H/h would have a happy ending until Natiya decided not to keep her promise to her dragon. That betrayal made me very unhappy.
Kiril has always taken orders while . . .until he met his future.

Natiya has a secret that will explode when kiril comes into her life.

With kiril, a crazy emperor, and an even more insistent . . .

Will Natiya and the Queen hatch into a new world of peace with kiril? Or will they be another tool for the crazy emperor to rule the world???

Enjoy! 😇
I hate to write a negative review, but honestly there's not much to say about this book. The topic is old, a fantasy with dragons and a dragon-hunter. Then there is the bond between a dragon and a human, which reminds me of the Inheritance Cycle series.
The romance and the plot seem to be interesting at first, but after a while, the story develops to be something you would expect from a typical erotic novel. I am really disappointed with the writing and the way the story builds up as it could have been much better. I hope the author would think about getting another proofreader or something like that.
I loved the concept of this story. It was a romance that seemed impossible, but poetically achievable. However, I could only stomach 40% of the book before I just had to say no.

Natiya, at the beginning, is a spitfire dancer that refuses anyone who looks her way. However, the summary fails to mention that this kingdom is an Empire with an Emperor, who is dragonborn and hell bent on the last egg as well.

Natiya is not a Mary Sue, but as she interacts with Kiril, she turns into this tool. She is from two well-educated parents, but acts like she never went to school and never interacts with people. She falls for the most obvious manipulation and has fun doing it.

It's not even the eggs that turn people into monsters, it's the author's choice of not allowing them to be independent of the magic that suddenly enslaves them. However, if you do like the romance that involves plenty of character change, have at this book. It is well constructed for plot and for the male characters that I've seen. I've very picky about my female roles.
I really enjoyed this book. Loved Kiril and Natiya and their adventure. I loved learning some about the dragons and I’m looking forward to getting and reading Dragonbound soon. Sabine gets her story in it. I really felt for her and all she suffered.
~I received this book from eBook Discovery in an exchange for an honest review~
I actually really enjoyed this book. I had to keep reading to find out what would happen next! I think the fantasy was much stronger than the romance. In fact, I thought the romantic scenes felt a awkward. The main lady character was way too passive while the guy was much too pushy and grabby. There were a few parts of the story that I felt could have been refined so the readers would have a clear understanding. I'm still unsure on where/how exactly this dragon egg is attached. Some little details get swept to the side and I noticed an error towards the later section of the book concerning the color of a past dragon.

For the ending, I felt the action was all built up very well, but did drop the ball on one story based part. You can tell instead of actually taking that final step and ending the book one way, the author ditches that to push for a second book.

Overall an entertaining fantasy, but I wouldn't read it with high romance ideas.
Dragons are evil and so are the people linked to them. No matter how gentle and kind before the dragon egg hatches anyone linked to a dragon will be evil. Kiril has believed this since he was a boy and now as a dragon hunter he has almost whipped the creatures from existence. There is only one more egg and when he has destroyed it, Kiril will be at peace.

Natiya was raised by her neighbors after her parents who were dragon scholars and the rest of her family were killed by a dragon under the control of an evil man. She has lived her life since then with a secret but she feels that her secret is nearing the end of its need to be. Soon it will be completely in the open. Until then she has to hide it from everyone, especially from the emperor.

Kiril is sent to collect Natiya for the emperor but finds himself extremely attracted to her. He feels protective and feels he must keep her safe. But she won't head Kiril's warnings and the soldiers come for her. Kiril is in danger of losing his heart as well as his life for Natiya. The only question now is are his feelings of love for her real or are they only dragon magic?

I don't normally read fantasy, it's just not one of my favorite genres. But I love Jade Lee and Dragonborn did not disappoint. The storyline is intricate and well written and the characters are all well done. As Kiril and Natiya both battle their own feelings, they learn something new and begin to reevaluate their beliefs. Dragonborn is a fantastic trip into a world where humans and dragons are meant to be so much more than they are. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
