Tempted is the second book in the Death Dealers MC Series. You could read this as a standalone like with the first book but with the cliff-hanger at the end I doubt you will want to.
We left our favourite characters in the middle of a cliff hanger so the start of this book gives us the ending, and what an ending it is. Raven shows her true worth and Gage is as protective as you would expect.
There are the typical biker scenes you expect to see and we hear a lot more about the minor characters in this book which is great because you really start to love/hate them even more. Tempted is accurately named and really drags you into the story. Raven and Gage show us just how strong their personalities are in this book and how their love has grown from strength to strength.
I think I can say without doubt that Raven’s 18th was the most anticipated birthday around.
I understand how the ending had to be the way it is, but I really don’t like having to wait to see what is going to happen next or the trauma that they will be going through.
Bring on book 3!
I love this series, heart stopping action, relationships that are real as life jump off the page, and Heart break. I too have done what Raven did, I left someone I had great affection for and risked life and limb for the man I loved. We got married in the end and he was older. He didn't have a motorcycle, but one Christmas he did buy me a moped and I rode that thing until Hurricane Isaac took it and our house nearly flooded.
I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first. 😕 Sorry.
The dialog between Raven and Gage wasn't real for me. Mostly dirty talk, which did nothing for me. I did like the one part with him asking about her family.
This book also felt like a shout out to all the author's favorite songs. More attention should've been paid to the dialogue and maybe them getting to know each other better.
Inner thought was okay (especially the end) but it sort of got repetitive.
The abstinence on his part was getting kind of old, especially because there was no reason behind it.
Alana Sapphire did good with all the teasing and sexual tension . I also liked meeting the rest of the members. The party was nice, though, again, sorry, but Gage's reaction/actions are completely different from when Raven's playing pool in shorts too her dancing on the bar.

Even though I gave this only 2**'s, I've already started reading the third.
I got to the end of book 2. This author is really talented, but she resorted to the easiest trope to cause conflict at the end of this book.

I could almost handle the rape. Almost. But for Raven to blame Gage, no not acceptable. I don't care if she has blocked out that night. She obviously remembers everything leading up to that night. This means that she knows he is not capable of committing this crime, but especially not on her. The author giving her this reaction makes her character tstl which is a complete 180 from how she has portrayed her up until now. Not cool. I'm so pissed off, that I do not know if I'm going to read book 3. I do not know how she could possibly recover this series in my eyes now. If I do read book 3 and she doesn't drag out this stupid misunderstanding trope, then I may update this review. For now I say reader/ buyer beware. Do not start this series!

Edited to add ... Okay I lasted about ten minutes before opening book three. Curiosity and that dang cat. I take it all back! My humble apologies Ms. Sapphire. You are not a complete idiot or any of the other nasty names I called you in my head! You are quite the opposite. So sorry! Oops my bad, etc.....
Gage is the President of the Death Dealers MC. Not a touchy feely kinda guy unless you count when he is smacking someone around. He is also not a relationship kind of man. He has enough on his plate without adding a woman to the list. He is a hit it and quit it type of man. Then he saw Raven. The beautiful young temptation. He is drawn to her like no other woman he has known. He knows she is young but only a little while longer and he can have what he is not strong enough to walk away from.
Raven has not had an easy time the last few months. She only has to wait a few short weeks until she is eighteen and she can leave. While she is biding her time to leave she finds her a cute boyfriend to spend her down time with. Everything is going fine until she sees Gage and then meets the bad boy or man is a better word. He is older and hot. The decision is taken out of her hands on who she should choose and the rest is a whirlwind.
Gage and Raven want each other. Raven has never felt this way before and actually Gage is trying to handle a lot of new emotions. One is the overwhelming need to protect Raven. Raven throws herself into being with Gage. She throws caution to the wind and to be with Gage. It is not long until she is caught in the crosshairs of a cat and mouse game that involves a team trying to take Gage out.
This is refreshing and a new approach to a mc novel. I loved the way the book picked right up where the last left off. I loved the part where Raven and Gage were not put on a backburner for a new couple. Their storyline is not over yet. This was a one sitting book for me and I loved every minute of it.
Note This is not a standalone. You need to read Forbidden before you read Tempted. This is a continuing story.
